At a lunch lecture on 19 June 2007 Malaysian human rights activist and politician Anwar Ibrahim will speak about Islam in the public domain.

The NIMD, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, SID (Society for International Development) and the Foundation for Peace organise a lecture given by Professor Anwar Ibrahim and Professor Vincent Cornell.

The Lunch Lecture will be held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Schedeldoekshaven 200, 2511 EZ, The Hague, in the Schouwzaal, from 12h00 – 13h45. The meeting will be moderated by Mr Alvaro Pinto Scholtbach of NIMD. Please register at: v.riverasantander@socires.nl

In the morning of 19 June, NIMD will host a closed meeting with professor Anwar, for policy officers and media outlets of Dutch political parties. To attend this meeting or requests for interviews, please contact NIMD (maartenvandenberg@nimd.org)

On 18 June Anwar Ibrahim and Vincent Cornell will present the SID Lecture on “Democracy & Islam: The answer of the West” in Amsterdam.
